We always knew that the children who code and program with Robo Wunderkind were beyond talented. But we couldn’t have imagined just how much! Since we introduced the #RoboCreatorsChallenge last year, we have been amazed, time and again, at how much creativity, ingeniousness, and talent hides in our users.

A Sponge-Painting-Random-Walking-Robot by the STEM superstar Meredith, who we also wrote a blog post about. She submitted her project to the "Draw something" Creator Challenge. We love seeing young girls passionately curious about coding and robotics!

A Kitchen Helper Robot - no appliance to help you mix your ingredients? No problem! One creative user found a way to cook and mix their LEGO ingredients in the Robo Props challenge. We hope the result was one very delicious meal!

Another talented user, Theo, gave the phrase ‘hanging by a thread’ a whole new, creative meaning. As a part of the Robo Drawing challenge, he created a Suspended Artist Robot that drew on a whiteboard while hanging from a sophisticated LEGO construction.

Feed-the-Cat Robot, the perfect invention for all ardent cat lovers out there! If you forget to feed your cat, don’t worry, Robo can do it for you, as one of our users showed us in the Robo Smart Devices challenge. Just fill Robo’s arms with some kitty food, program the time the dosage to drop this food into a bowl, and there you go!

Another bright mind, Max, created a Robo Transport Mobile as part of the Robo Transport challenge –– a complex construction system made out of LEGO that contained elevators, several floors, a helicopter, and lots and lots of genius engineering. Truly impressive. 

We understand how challenging it can be for parents to keep their children inspired and creatively engaged during these days of self-isolating and school lockdowns. We would like to empower families to explore together the exciting world of coding and the limitless possibilities of our robotics kits. That’s why we decided to create a new series of webinars and challenges, called the Robo Wunderkind #MakersMarathon dedicated especially to helping you entertain your kids at home while making sure they are learning!  

Creative and hands-on learning is just what we need in a time when schools are closed and children have to stay at home, while their creative potential falters among the four walls. With Robo Wunderkind, children develop not only the very essential STEM skills but also their problem-solving skills, design thinking skills, creativity, independent thinking, as well as their overall digital literacy.
